UKRC goes green! |
2008 has welcomed a new UKRC with many exciting changes.
This year UKRC is becoming a green Congress as we want to equally encourage medical excellence and research as well as ethical responsibility towards our environment.
UKRC has adopted a number of initiatives to reduce its carbon footprint, including:
• online information available on the UKRC website and email information broadcasts to lower paper usage
• paper created from a sustainable source to produce
the Preliminary Programme, Congress Guide, Exhibition prospectus and visitor tickets
• 100% recyclable delegate bags and pens
• recycling facilities located in the Exhibition Hall
• and don’t forget to bring your delegate badges to UKRC as there is a charge of £5 for the reprinting of forgotten/lost badges which will be donated to the climatecare.org fund
Delegates, visitors and exhibitors are also encouraged to support us in our aim to become more environmentally friendly, so why not…
• car-share your journey with colleagues or friends
• offset carbon emissions from your journey by visiting www.climatecare.org
UKRC welcomes any suggestions or ideas you may have about how we can all ensure our Congress works towards a greener future for everyone.
