Aim:
To provide practical advice and imaging recommendations when investigating the child with possible intracranial mass lesion or CNS tumour. The value of unenhanced CT in the first instance; the dangers of sedation or inappropriate anaesthesia; and the hazards of incomplete MRI will be highlighted
Outcomes:
  1. To understand the indications and appropriate method for imaging a child with suspected raised intracranial pressure due to mass lesion
  2. To appreciate the value of the iamging modalities available and to be familiar with basic imaging requirements
  3. To briefly review various pathologies and differential diagnoses
